Elaine Thomson – Senior sector specialist - education

Elaine joined Absoft in 1995 and is involved in pre-sales activities and account handling for the higher education sector. She has over 20 years’ IT experience,  and her main area of expertise is materials management. She has been involved in a variety of SAP support and implementation projects.

Elaine returned to the company in 2003, after a four-year break to serve as a Member of the Scottish Parliament.  During that time she gained extensive experience of working with public and education sector organisations.

She also continues to be active in the community as the Chair of the voluntary board of directors for Cornerstone, a large Scottish charity which supports people with disabilities to lead independent lives in their community.
