Ian Mechie – Managing Director

Ian Mechie co-founded Absoft in 1991 and has played a key role in driving the company’s development and shaping the organisation. He has worked in the IT industry for more than 20 years, mainly as a consultant within the oil and gas sector, and became involved in the SAP arena when R/3 was initially released in 1992. Ian is also head of our non oil and gas business stream.

Ian retains a hands-on role as one of Absoft’s Principal Consultants, specialising in project management, integration, and management accounting. Away from work he is a loyal foot soldier in the Tartan Army, enjoys playing golf (badly), and has eclectic tastes in music.
