Corporate Social Responsibility
At Absoft - we care. We are a responsible employer who supports those within and out with the business. We realise corporate social responsibility comes in many forms and we act upon this.
We strive to minimise the impact that our operations have on the environment and we follow the reduce-reuse-recycle principle as we understand how important it is to protect our surroundings. For every project we forecast the risk that our activities will have on the environment and look at ways to diminish them.
Bright Green Business Network provide us with support and materials on environmentally friendly practices and advise on how we can continue to improve our environmental practices and minimise our footprint. As an ongoing initiative, our Charities Committee have set up an ‘Absoft Grove’ in the Caledonian Forest, through the Trees for Life Charity. This helps to offset our carbon footprint as an organisation and we add to the grove each year to do our bit for the environment.
Our Charitable Commitments
We have a dedicated employee led charities committee that receive a proportion of Absoft profits to distribute to local charities- often those close to the hearts of our employees. Our donations over the years have made differences in the local community.
As a company we also organise staff fundraising activities such as ‘Bake Off’s’ or ‘Step Challenges’ to raise additional money and awareness. Whatever is raised by staff is then matched by the charities committee.
