New premises mark continued growth for Absoft
In order to develop its business in UK and international markets and accommodate a growing team of software developers, Aberdeen-based software services company Absoft has relocated to Davidson House, Grampian Enterprise’s flagship new building on the Aberdeen Science and Technology Park.
The move heralds the start of yet another exciting period of growth for the successful company, which managed to outgrow its previous premises on the Park in just three years.
Absoft is Scotland’s only provider of SAP R/3, the world’s leading Enterprise Resource Planning system, and has recently taken steps towards delivering its own software products, two of which are planned for launch over the next six months.
Although traditionally focused on software development and implementation services, the company was recently appointed as UK agent for ACS Systemberatung (German manufacturers of the data management and archiving solution Hyparchiv Enterprise) and is moving increasingly into partnership with other third parties for the delivery of complete software solutions
“The relocation to Davidson House provides Absoft with the ideal infrastructure to achieve our development plans.” said Managing Director Ian Mechie. “Whilst remaining committed to the oil and gas sector, we are developing opportunities in other industries and plan to extend our portfolio of products and services in line with the needs of the global marketplace.” he continued.
Grampian Enterprise Science Park Director, Tony Aldhous was delighted to welcome Absoft to the site and said: “Absoft is an innovative software company creating high quality jobs with exciting growth prospects. We are pleased that Absoft have located to Davidson House, which provides an outstanding environment for both software development and business growth.”
