Sales Manager - SAP Support & Technical Services

Absoft Ltd are seeking an experienced sales manager to join our sales and marketing team on a permanent basis. 

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate drive and passion for the sale of services while building positive and collaborative relationships with new clients and our existing client base alike.

This is predominantly a New Business Development role to maximise sales potential and achieve target sales.  Therefore the successful candidate must demonstrate a target driven approach with strong commercial awareness, focus and responsibility.

Key Duties

  • New Business Development in to diverse industry sectors focusing on Absoft’s Support and Technical Services
  • Ownership of commercial relationships with diverse prospects.
  • Engage with prospects and clients face to face to identify their plans and needs.
  • Prepare and maintain account development plans to enable growth of target accounts.
  • Contributes to business planning
  • Provide reliable pledges for forthcoming sales
  • Hold overall responsibility for co-ordinating and preparing high quality timely proposals.
  • Ensure that projects and engagements are designed and costed to ensure best short and long term return for Absoft
  • Maintain and update contractual requirements
  • Engage with customers to agree any necessary commercial changes as advised by project managers.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Previous business development/account management experience
  • Previous experience in IT sales - Desirable
  • Good time management and ability to plan work and engage others in a timely manner
  • Good presentation & negotiation skills
  • Well-developed networking skills
  • Previous involvement with business planning
  • Strong commercial awareness, focus & responsibility
  • Good communication skills – both oral and written
  • Deadline driven and self-motivated – target driven
  • Numeracy
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Take personal responsibility for learning and development and seek opportunities to learn from others.  Take part in an annual personal development discussion within the 360 Appraisal system
