Leading independent SAP consultancy Absoft has won a six-figure contract with Staffordshire County Council to provide technical support for its SAP business software solution.
Under the initial three-year deal, Absoft will provide high-level support to the local authority’s internal team, delivering a dedicated SAP helpdesk service to ensure the stability of the system in its day-to-day use.
More than 5,000 users have access to Staffordshire County Council’s SAP system within public services which include schools, colleges and emergency services across eight local district and borough council boundaries. SAP is also used to support the council’s social care solution including the 24/7 safeguarding of vulnerable children.
Aberdeen-headquartered Absoft won the contract in a competitive tender.

“The company’s expert team demonstrated a clear understanding of our requirements and were able to guarantee service continuity by providing named support staff, which is an important factor for us. We felt Absoft would be able to work well as an extension to our internal team.”

Absoft’s expanding not-for-profit sector customer base includes organisations such as Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), Scottish Qualifications Authority and ConstructionSkills.
