Business software consultancy Absoft Limited has secured two more significant SAP support contracts with clients connected to the education sector, which will generate in excess of £500,000 over the next three years.
The Aberdeen-based business, one of the largest independent SAP consultancies in the UK, has signed an agreement to support the SAP system run by the Scottish Qualifications Authority. The open-ended contract will see Absoft provide support for the SQA’s 700-plus users across the Scottish central belt, covering all functional and technical areas.
Karen Dinwoodie, finance business manager at SQA said: “We are pleased to welcome Absoft as our SAP support partner. We look forward to a rewarding partnership which will see SQA continue to maximise the potential of its investment in the SAP product.”
Absoft has won a similar contract with Findel Education, the largest dedicated supplier of educational products in Europe. The new agreement will see Absoft provide support for all functional and technical areas to around 800 users based mainly in the Hyde and Nottingham areas. The contract will also provide Findel with access to Absoft’s 24-hour on-call technical support service.
Absoft already counts the ScottishAgriculturalCollege and NapierUniversity amongst its clients within the higher education sector.
Absoft managing director Ian Mechie said: “These contract wins are very important for us, not least in terms of continuing to grow our UK-wide customer base and reinforcing our ability to diversify into market sectors beyond our core activity in the energy industry. These new contracts clearly underline our reputation as a leading provider of support services to all users of SAP in the UK.”
