Operators and oilfield service companies are being invited to the latest Absoft SAP Oil and Gas supply chain forum.
Operators and oilfield service companies are being invited to the latest Absoft Supply Chain Forum aimed at exploring how Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) software complements SAP procurement solutions for the upstream oil and gas supply chain.
In this latest instalment of the oil and gas forums held by SAP consultancy Absoft, delegates will hear from one of Absoft’s leading oil and gas solution architects Bjӧrn Harzer, who will give an overview of the different processes in operational and strategic procurement, and advise how SAP solutions such as SRM, Materials Management (MM), and Sourcing support these.
Mr Harzer will then compare the SAP solutions and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each while weighing up their cost and benefits.
Tim Galloway, sales manager at Absoft who is facilitating the forum, says: “This event is part of a series of open forums aimed at giving oil and gas companies using SAP an opportunity to share best practice and discuss challenges with experts in the field, helping them get the most out of their software.
“Delegates attending this latest forum will discover which features of these software solutions are most useful for upstream oil and gas purchase processes, taking new ideas back to their companies which will help to optimise their use of SAP.”
A demonstration session of procurement processes in practice using SRM and MM will round up the event.
The event, which is free to attend, will be held at the Absoft headquarters at Aberdeen Innovation Park, Bridge of Don on Thursday, March 14. For more information or to register to attend this event, please click here.
