Specialist software consultancy Absoft has formalised a partnership agreement with ReadSoft, a leading supplier of software for document automation, in a strategic move to target new business in the oil and gas sector.
The alliance sees the two companies offering a new software package designed to reduce costs and increase efficiency, primarily in the key administrative areas of invoicing and sales order processing.
Absoft, one of the UK’s largest independent SAP consultancies, has just completed the installation of a ReadSoft automated online invoice scanning solution onto Total E&P UK’s SAP system.
Absoft managing director Ian Mechie said: “We have worked with ReadSoft for some time now but this new relationship takes our collaboration to a new level and opens up significant market opportunities.
“Last year Absoft established a dedicated oil and gas team and this significantly broadens our portfolio for an industry that is always hungry for new cost-efficient products or services.
“In essence we are combining ReadSoft’s proven invoicing software with our SAP consultancy expertise, creating a proposition to improve process efficiency, reduce costs and narrow the scope for errors.
“Our prime area of focus is the oil and gas industry, where Absoft already has a broad portfolio of clients, but there is clearly potential to apply this to other key sectors such as higher education and manufacturing, where we are also active.”
