We’d like to bring some good news this week and announce our status as an Accredited Partner of SUSE.
–> Read in more detail what the partnership mean for our clients in this blog post.
SUSE works with various partners and communities across the globe, in order to deliver enterprise-grade, open source software-defined infrastructure and application delivery solutions.
Absoft is no stranger to SUSE. We’ve been working with them for almost two decades, as its platform, SUSE Enterprise Linux is extremely popular for running SAP software: SUSE Enterprise Linux runs 90% of SAP HANA systems, and over 70% of SAP NetWeaver on Linux.
What’s more, SAP products are developed on SUSE Enterprise Linux, SAP internal IT runs on SUSE and SAP products running on other operating systems are usually ported there from SuSE.
In other words – SUSE is ubiquitous in the SAP arena.
Over the years, we’ve run SUSE Enterprise Linux on-premises and hosted early cloud systems on it; we’ve run it in the private cloud for our customers and we currently run it in Microsoft Azure for SAP HANA and other products.
Absoft’s SUSE accreditation means that we can now resell SUSE Enterprise Linux to run on premises or in any cloud and we can also resell Microsoft Azure itself. As a result, we can now offer both BYOS and PAYG models in Azure for our customers, and our clients will benefit from our partner relationships to help consult for customers who buy either directly or from other vendors.
