Absoft are delighted to have once again been shortlisted as a finalist in the Wellbeing in the Workplace of the Year category for the cHeRries Awards 2023, sponsored Lang & Co and Mattioli Woods!
It was great to see the introduction of a Wellbeing category to The Cherries Awards UK in 2021. This cemented the importance of organisations taking an active role in their employee’s wellbeing; a principle reinforced by the pandemic.
Absoft have been on a journey to develop and implement our employee wellbeing strategy for several years. We have developed a clear commitment to workplace wellbeing whilst continuously looking to adapt with the ever-changing world of work.
Our HR Team has implemented various initiatives, policies, and practices designed to support and foster our employees’ wellbeing. We have reviewed our benefits package to ensure that it provides employees with financial security and education – particularly in light of the current cost of living crisis – and have taken steps to support employees through significant life events, such as menopause and pregnancy loss.
These necessitated the introductions of:
- Critical Illness cover
- Income Protection schemes
- Healthcash Plans
- Increased communication on our intranet
- Changes to our PMI cover that ensures treatment for pregnancy complications and the investigation of infertility
We have worked closely with external partners and experts on these policies, demonstrating our firm commitment to improving our employees’ lives, both at and outside work.
These are just some examples of the work we have undertaken recently. We are committed to continuing this work in the years to come and anticipate the ongoing positive impacts on our employees, customers, and the organisation as a whole. It is our belief that investing in our employee wellbeing is crucial to our business.
