Aberdeen based software solutions provider Absoft Limited has appointed Alastair Morrison to fill the newly created board position of Technical Director.
Joining Absoft as an analyst/ programmer in 1995, 26 year-old Alastair gained extensive technical experience in the establishment and maintenance of networked systems combined with an in-depth knowledge of leading enterprise software solutions such as SAP.
Said financial director Derek Reid: “We are delighted to be able to appoint a dedicated and talented member of our staff to the Board of Directors. For a considerable length of time, Alastair has performed many key aspects of his new role and we therefore saw no need to look outwith the organisation to fill this position. The right person was there in-house and the natural progression was to bring these skills to management level.”
Alastair’s remit as Technical Director will include defining and taking responsibility for the future development of the company’s hardware and software infrastructure.
