The collaborative project Absoft completed with Barnsley Council has recently been featured in multiple publications including Business in the News, Digitalisation World and Datacentre Solutions.Â
This is a perfect example of a technically challenging project for a public sector organisation that Absoft’s team turned into a collaborative and seamless migration of SAP to Microsoft Azure, completed within a short timeframe, in a cost-effective manner. Absoft worked with Barnsley to help them identify exact needs, find the best-suited solution, migrate their systems to Azure and ensure that their team was fully trained and enabled to make further use of Azure and Microsoft solutions.
The council’s fairly outdated on-premise functionality was in a desperate need for an upgrade – a move to the cloud. Commencing the migration project, Absoft and Barnsley Council were facing multiple challenges including the affordability and a non-negotiable deadline. Absoft’s solution offered an economically viable outcome and saved the council a considerable amount through enablement of their very-much capable technical internal team.
Absoft’s unique approach, SAP and Azure expertise, and ability to augment the council’s scarce business resources defined the successful outcome.
