Absoft is proud to sponsor the ambitions of a talented rising star on the pro-golf circuit.Â
Originally from Aboyne, Aberdeenshire, Daniel Thompsett (21) moved to Billings, Montana, USA where he studied for a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic Training and played golf for the college team.Â
After a successful four years at Rocky Mountain College, which resulted in winning medallist honours seven times, the conference championship twice and qualifying for the USA national championship on two occasions, Daniel set his sights on becoming a professional golfer and moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2015 to pursue his dream.Â
Since then, Daniel has shot some of the lowest scores of his career – ensuing in a win and multiple top five finishes. Daniel is currently working towards his PGA class A certificate and has recently received training from Andrew Locke, Paul Lawrie’s primary coach.
Of the sponsorship, Don Valentine, Commercial Director Absoft said: “We are immensely proud to be the first of Daniel’s sponsors and to support his future ambitious targets. Given his talent, dedication and the progress he’s already achieved, we’re very confident that Daniel’s going to achieve major success in the sport, both in Europe and further afield.”Â
