HMRC Regulations for Oil & Gas

Energy specialists are collaborating to deliver a forum in Aberdeen providing guidance on new HMRC regulations for upstream oil and gas, following a demand for information from the industry.

Leading representative body Oil & Gas UK, sustainable energy solutions provider Aker Solutions and SAP specialist Absoft will discuss the implications of the new Union Customs Code (UCC) regulation for energy companies.

Implemented by HMRC earlier this year, the new UCC regulations bring changes to import, export and storage procedures for goods which cross EU borders – affecting businesses involved in international trade.

The forum will take place on September 1 at Absoft’s Aberdeen headquarters with presentations including guidance on the UCC regulations from Oil & Gas UK, a customs status tracking solution from Aker Solutions and an approach for operators from Absoft.

Don Valentine, Absoft commercial director, said: “Customers moving goods across EU borders already have a number of complicated procedures to deal with, so we’re on hand to provide advice and solutions which satisfy the new requirements being introduced by authorities.

“The introduction of the new UCC regulations marks the most significant change to UK and European customs procedures in the last 20 years, so we’re pleased to have the opportunity, alongside Oil and Gas UK and Aker Solutions, to help delegates adjust to these changes.”

This event is now sold out, however there is a waiting list in operation should you wish to attend. For more information about the event please click here or contact Absoft on +44(0)1224 707088
