A Year in Review and a Thank you!
2017 was an exciting year for Absoft. This excitement has been shared with our customers as we continue to work with them on new technologies to streamline business processes and enhance user experience.
Self-service procurement apps with Fiori
One of the most exciting developments in the past year has been the interest from our customers, and the market, in our Fiori based self-service procurement apps. Covering shopping cart creation, cart approval and receiving, our apps have been commended for their ease of use, promotion of good practice and their role in offering self-service to the occasional SAP user.
We continue to develop the apps and have recently added catalogue integration, offline approval and analytics to the suite with a sourcing cockpit and invoice approval being planned as the next significant developments.
Last year also saw Absoft successfully move our first customer on to the Microsoft Azure platform, with several more customers looking to start their journey to the Cloud.
NetWeaver Managed Services
Absoft were very proud to deliver our largest ever technical upgrade project last year based on and our successful Technical Services and Managed Service service lines. A mix of our technical team of Netweaver/Basis consultants, ably supported by a full range of our functional consultants and strong project management delivered another on-time/on-budget project.
2017 also saw Absoft work in partnership with existing and new customers on IT Landscape Rationalisation. Simplification continues to be a strong theme in the market, and we are helping a number of customers to reduce their TCO by reducing the number of servers and systems required to run their businesses.
All these elements are coming together as we look forward to the adoption of S/4HANA. As our customers increasingly begin to plan their steps on the road to S/4 HANA Absoft continue to develop our capabilities in both S/4 HANA, where we have the best practice solution running in our demo environment, and the HANA database, where our managed service looks after a number of systems running HANA.
Simplifying UX with Neptune Software 's UI5 Capabilities
We are also particularly excited by the opportunities to simplify user experience using the rapid development UI5 capabilities of our partner Neptune Software, combined with the backend power and business logic of SAP applications. Neptune Software is at the heart of our Fiori based solutions which are generating considerable interest in the market. Our solutions are compatible with both ERP and S/4 HANA and can be leveraged by all our customers.
On a more personal note I am delighted to say that four of our team reached the milestone of 20 years with Absoft. The experience, enduring loyalty and hard work of our team is what makes Absoft so agile and in tune with our customer needs as we work together on continual business and technology improvements.
